Program Requirements
Each year we offer two single-unit Chaplain Intern training programs that combine Level I and II CPE students in a supervised ministry experience. Weekly evening rotation and direct spiritual care with patients and families is required. Training groups are limited to a maximum of six students.
In order to apply you must have graduated from high school or hold a GED and be able to adequately read and write in English. You can be ordained, a seminarian or layperson from a recognized faith tradition who desires to learn the art of pastoral care in a clinical setting. You must be emotionally and spiritually mature, be a team player, be able to work with a supervisor, be willing to share yourself with peers and the supervisor, demonstrate the ability to take responsibility for your learning and have sufficient physical stamina to function within a demanding clinical setting.
